Application for Credit – Privacy Consents /Acknowledgements

Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all related rules and regulations (“Act”)

To:          Autoflex Leasing Australasia Pty Ltd ACN 007 073 994 trading as RentBuyIt.com.au (“You”)

I acknowledge that You may collect my personal information (including identification information required to comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws) to enable You to: assess the application and my personal and/or commercial credit worthiness; provide, monitor and administer the product and related services; notify other credit providers of any default by me; provide to funders, purchasers and rating agencies for the funding, sale or securitisation of the product; and provide to insurers, underwriters or service providers to allow insurance or other services to be provided to You or me in connection with the product and any related services; and to comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.

I acknowledge that if I do not provide or provide incomplete or inaccurate information, You may not be able to process or accept the application and transactions may be delayed, blocked or refused.

I acknowledge that You may disclose my personal information (including identification information required to comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws where relevant) to various organisations so You may carry out Your functions including credit reporting agencies, government departments and authorities, credit providers, Your agents, third party suppliers of the goods subject or to be subject to the product, third parties who refer business to You or provide services or credit in connection with this product, or otherwise so You may comply with the law.

Authority for You to obtain certain credit information: To enable You to assess the application for personal and/or commercial credit, I authorise You, Your agents and third parties who referred me to You to obtain a credit report from a credit reporting agency (“Agency”) containing information about personal or commercial credit provided to me; and a report containing information about my personal and/or commercial activities or personal and/or commercial credit worthiness from a business which provides such information.

Information may be given to an Agency: I authorise You and Your agents to give to an Agency certain information about me as permitted under the Act, which includes my identity particulars; the fact that I have applied for credit and the amount; the fact that You are a credit provider to me; payments overdue for more than 60 days; cheques dishonoured more than once; I have committed a serious infringement in specified circumstances; and that the credit provided has been paid or otherwise discharged.

Authority to exchange information with other credit providers: I authorise You to give to and obtain from Your agents (as defined in the Act) and any credit providers named in a credit report issued by an Agency information about my credit worthiness, credit standing, credit history or credit capacity, and to give and receive a banker’s opinion for purposes connected with my creditworthiness, business, trade or profession.

Authority for information in regards to location of the car: I authorise you to collect information either from any agency, road authority, person  or electronically regarding the current location of the car. 

You may also use my personal information to: offer products or services which You expect may be of  interest to me.
